Every one of our Therapists are well experienced in working with children with a range of speech, language and social communication impairments. All of our Therapists are registered with Health Care Professions Council and have worked / or still work within the NHS.

Deborah Hazell

Director & Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist

BSc(Hons), MRCSLT, HCPC-Reg, MASLTIP


Deborah is the owner of Wise Words Speech Therapy. She has over 8 years experience of working with children from ages 2-16 with a wide range of Speech, Language and Communication needs. Deborah specialises in working with children under 7. She has a particular interest in working with children with Speech delays and disorders, Autistic Spectrum Disorders, Stammers and language difficulties. Deborah is trained in using the Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), Attention Autism programme and Makaton Signing. Deborah is also trained in the Lidcombe Programme for children who stammer.


Deborah is registered with the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists and the Health and Care Professions Council.


Deborah is available to see clients at your home, school/nursery or in clinic (Spire London East).

Christine Dodge

Specialist Speech and Language Therapist

BSc(Hons), MRCSLT, HCPC-Reg


Chris is an experienced Speech and Language Therapist who works with children and young people from 2-16 yrs. She works across a number of settings : client’s homes, nurseries, preschools, primary and secondary schools as well as specialist provision for children with Special Educational Needs.

 

Chris enjoys working with families and the adults who support clients in their communication and learning environment. She supports children with a wide variety of needs : Attention and Listening difficulties, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Language Disorder/ Delay and Speech Sound Difficulties.

 

Chris is trained in Makaton Signing and Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS). Chris is registered with The Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists.


Melanie Abba

Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist

BSc(Hons), PGCE, MRCSLT, HCPC-Reg MASLTIP


Melanie has over 30 years experience working with children and young people with a wide range of speech, language and communication needs. She enjoys working with families and adults working with children in their educational settings to ensure communication needs are well supported wherever the child is.

Melanie specialises in Developmental Language Disorder (DLD), Language Disorder and Speech Sound Disorders/Difficulties. She has worked in a specialist provision identifying and supporting children and young people with DLD and providing specialist assessment, advice and training to early years/school staff, parents and other professionals.


Melanie has a particular interest in working with school/nursery aged children and is a qualified ELKLAN tutor with experience providing accredited training on speech, language and communication to Schools and Early Years settings.

Melanie is registered with RCSLT and HCPC.


She is available to see clients at your home, school or nursery.


Melanie works Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursdays.

Diellza Nishori

Speech and Language therapy assistant

Diellza is an experienced Speech and Language Therapy Assistant who works with children and young people from 2-16 years. Diellza has worked in various settings including: client’s homes, primary schools, specialist provisions, and clinics. Diellza is also completing her Msc in Speech & Language Sciences.

 

Diellza enjoys working with families and adults who support clients in their everyday communication and learning environment. She has supported children with Autism, Speech Sound Disorders and Language Disorder/Delay.

 

Diellza is trained in interventions including; Attention Autism, Colourful Semantics, Lego Therapy and Intensive Interaction. Diellza has a particular interest in Autism and Speech Sound Disorders.
